Hemodent® Paste Retraction System

Premier's new Traxodent is an innovative 15% aluminum chloride retraction paste packed in sleek 0.7g syringes with bendable tips for easy access.  The absorbent paste displaces soft tissue and works synergistically with the astringent properties of aluminum chloride to create retraction.  Fluid is absorbed while Traxodent occupies the sulcus and stops bleeding.  After two minutes, Traxodent is rinsed away, leaving an open, retracted sulcus.

Traxodent lends itself to any technique.  Some dentists will prefer to use Traxodent alone, others with a single retraction cord.  Some will gently guide it into the sulcus using a retraction cap or cotton pellet for greater tissue retraction. After trying Traxodent, dentists adapt it to their own preferred technique and use it routinely to ensure a dry, clear field.  Traxodent is ideal whenever hemostasis or isolation is needed; for crown and bridge, veneers, and for restorations below the gingiva.

                   Place Traxodent paste.                      Rinse after two minutes.
