"Inside Dentistry" recently featured an interview with Julie Charlestein, Vice President, Business Development.

Premier® is recognized as a well established family business that is now bringing exciting emerging technologies to the dental profesion.  Julie, representing the fourth generation of Premier's ownership, provided an update on the Research and Development process, which is headed by Bill McHale, Vice-President, Research and Development.

According to Ms. Charlestein, "Premier has a very rigorous development process driven ultimately by consumer need, with regulatory guidance.  Aside from our internal expertise, we rely on third party data.  It is imperative that our technologies be proven in order to gain market acceptance.  Premier's products are evalutated by various institutions and professionals, resulting in the best possible product for the industry.  Of course, the opinions of key influencers also play a vital role in further bolstering our innovations and messaging."

One of the emerging technologies that Premier has become intimately involved with and has now added to several products is ACP (Amorphous Calcium Phosphate).  The dental community is realizing the many benefits that ACP offers and the added benefits patients receive from products containing ACP.

Premier has introduced the following products with ACP:

Enamel Pro® Prophy Paste, the only prophy paste formulated to deliver ACP.  Enamel Pro provides a true benefit to patients.

Enamel Pro® Varnish, the only varnish formulated to deliver ACP.  Enamel Pro desensitizes dentin by depositing ACP and fluoride into the tubules and crystallizes and forms apatite.
