Senior Director for Product Development/R & D


  • Drives R&D, new technologies, initiatives, and is at the core of developing exciting new products
  • Develops, analyzes, and executes next generation products

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Works with Exec. VP of R&D to define scope of next generation products & develops appropriate time line and resources
  • Tests and analyzes new technologies and components
  • Manages pipeline of projects so as to maximize the impact on the growth of the business
  • Collaborates with Universities, Institutions and Labs for product feasibility and analysis
  • Ensures product requirements are efficiently and effectively met, and this is done in a manner which meets company and regulatory requirements
  • Support with Product Development and Product Management teams with knowledge and clinical transfer
  • Demonstrates strong technical competency in clinical and materials research
    Understands and contributes to the business strategy locally and globally
  • Independently assumes clinical research and clinical affairs responsibilities for new and existing products
  • Participates on product teams to develop and carry out clinical safety and efficacy plans for new products and product modifications, and clinical plans for marketed products
    (e.g., marketing studies, outcomes studies)
  • Leads and/or participates in cross functional teams

Education I Experience:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), FDA, OSHA, the European Medical Device Directive, and ISO 13485 requirements and regulations as they apply to this position
  • Degree in chemistry, pharmacy, biomedicine, medicine or other related field;
  • Strong initiative and leadership skills as well as project management skills
  • Master’s degree in chemistry, materials science or other related science field
  • Clinical research experience, combined leading and/or participating in cross functional
    teams and in the Medical Device field (dental industry preferred)
  • Working in the Medical Device field (dental industry preferred)
  • Creative thinker and connector of ideas and people - customer focused
  • Ability to deliver results with energy and enthusiasm
  • Excellent communicator - ideas, presentations, interpersonal
  • Must have demonstrated experience in identifying unmet customer needs and developing
    products which met those needs and have proven to be commercially successful
  • Must have 5 years of progressively responsible experience in project management with demonstrated success

Regional Sales Manager (Northeastern USA)

Position Summary:

This position provides direction and leadership to the Premier Sales team located in the Northeast (USA) Region and is responsible for the customer satisfaction and market share within the region.  


  • Develop and increase sales revenue to meet assigned targets
  • Assist members of the sales team with managing performance, organizational skills, territory planning and administrative responsibilities to ensure high level of customer satisfaction is maintained.

Special Markets Sales Representative (West Coast, USA)

Position Summary:

Premier Dental Products Company is a leading manufacturer and distributor of innovative dental products for use by licensed dental clinicians. The Company is hiring a full-time sales representative who will service and manage a territory of accounts and distribution partners on the West Coast to drive new sales for its growing Special Markets division. Special Markets accounts are defined as corporate and group dentistry, buying groups, as well as institutional and government entities. Employee location is dependent on access to efficient air travel as this position requires frequent overnight trips. Candidates must be business oriented, with excellent negotiation and sales skills. This position will report to the Special Markets Manager.

Essential Functions:

Travel throughout territory to call on existing and prospective accounts in order to develop relationships, present product solutions, and solicit new business

  • Develop and maintain relationships with the sales teams and the corporate support personnel of distribution partners. Co-travel time is expected.
  • Coordinate efforts with other Premier Dental Sales Representatives and Regional Managers as necessary.
  • Achieve proficient knowledge of Premier Dental products to develop persuasive arguments and presentations. Understand key competitive products.
  • Conduct sales meetings to present and train distributor sales teams on new Premier Dental products.
  • Attend trade shows and sponsored account meetings. Display product and educate clinicians on product features and value-added benefits.
  • Establish SMART goals and corresponding action plan to implement and achieve goals.
  • Conduct business within the confines of an established territory budget.
  • Prepare for and attend Special Markets semi-annual review presentations at corporate headquarters.
  • Weekly discussions with Special Markets Manager to digest and strategize on territory updates.
  • Complete weekly communique and expense reports; maintain updated sales calendar
  • This is an exempt position


  • Bachelor’s degree required. Science or technical background a plus.
  • 2 years outside sales experience and/or account management. B2B experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record for meeting sales objectives
  • Demonstrated capacity to develop professional relationships with customers
  • Ability to work independently and creatively
  • Strong organizational skills with proven time management skills
  • High level of integrity and strong work ethic
  • Professional demeanor, selling style and appearance
  • Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products

Working Conditions:

  • Must possess vehicle, a valid driver’s license and auto insurance
  • 50% travel, some overnight is required
  • Occasional lifting of items up to 50 pounds
  • Manual dexterity required to use electronic devices
  • Must have laptop no more than 3 years old with MS/Office compatible operating system
