Special Markets Sales Representative (West Coast, USA)

Position Summary:

Premier Dental Products Company is a leading manufacturer and distributor of innovative dental products for use by licensed dental clinicians. The Company is hiring a full-time sales representative who will service and manage a territory of accounts and distribution partners on the West Coast to drive new sales for its growing Special Markets division. Special Markets accounts are defined as corporate and group dentistry, buying groups, as well as institutional and government entities. Employee location is dependent on access to efficient air travel as this position requires frequent overnight trips. Candidates must be business oriented, with excellent negotiation and sales skills. This position will report to the Special Markets Manager.

Essential Functions:

Travel throughout territory to call on existing and prospective accounts in order to develop relationships, present product solutions, and solicit new business

  • Develop and maintain relationships with the sales teams and the corporate support personnel of distribution partners. Co-travel time is expected.
  • Coordinate efforts with other Premier Dental Sales Representatives and Regional Managers as necessary.
  • Achieve proficient knowledge of Premier Dental products to develop persuasive arguments and presentations. Understand key competitive products.
  • Conduct sales meetings to present and train distributor sales teams on new Premier Dental products.
  • Attend trade shows and sponsored account meetings. Display product and educate clinicians on product features and value-added benefits.
  • Establish SMART goals and corresponding action plan to implement and achieve goals.
  • Conduct business within the confines of an established territory budget.
  • Prepare for and attend Special Markets semi-annual review presentations at corporate headquarters.
  • Weekly discussions with Special Markets Manager to digest and strategize on territory updates.
  • Complete weekly communique and expense reports; maintain updated sales calendar
  • This is an exempt position

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Science or technical background a plus.
  • 2 years outside sales experience and/or account management. B2B experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record for meeting sales objectives
  • Demonstrated capacity to develop professional relationships with customers
  • Ability to work independently and creatively
  • Strong organizational skills with proven time management skills
  • High level of integrity and strong work ethic
  • Professional demeanor, selling style and appearance
  • Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products

Working Conditions:

  • Must possess vehicle, a valid driver’s license and auto insurance
  • 50% travel, some overnight is required
  • Occasional lifting of items up to 50 pounds
  • Manual dexterity required to use electronic devices
  • Must have laptop no more than 3 years old with MS/Office compatible operating system

Special Markets Coordinator/Administrator

Position Summary:

Premier Dental Products Company is a leading manufacturer and distributor of innovative dental products for use by licensed dental clinicians. The company is hiring a part-time sales coordinator/administrator to support the sales efforts of its growing Special Markets division and would report to the Special Markets Manager. Candidate must be organized, be detail oriented and be proficient in Microsoft Excel. The Sales Coordinator/Administrator should be a highly motivated, self-started who is eager to accept additional responsibilities that come with future growth opportunities.

  • Request and compile chargeback data and invoices via email from designated distribution partners
  • Process chargeback data to ensure pricing and account accuracy; Communicate discrepancies to appropriate distribution contacts
  • Arrange chargeback reports for import into various sales analytic tools; email reports to necessary inside and outside sales team members
  • Calculate price increase and prepare new price lists for defined customer segments; Distribute to dealer partners
  • Collect, process and monitor rebate database for Mid-Market accounts; Communicate details to necessary inside and outside sales team members

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Self-motivated personality
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with customers
  • High level of integrity and work ethic
  • Work individually and as part of a team
  • Able to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • High speed internet line in home office
  • Some business experience preferred

Premier Dental Products Company seeks an experienced sales representative based in the Houston, TX area to sell the full line of Premier products in the South Texas territory. The ideal candidate must be a self starter, possess a strong work ethic and a desire to grow sales. A dental industry professional with three or more years of successful dental sales experience is preferred. Minimum of a bachelors degree and computer skills are required. Some overnight travel is required.
